You may have noticed my short absence. Or, not!
My blogging has been a bit.....off. I haven't felt very creative and I HAVE felt a bit of stress, lately. And, yes, being creative helps me deal with stress, but it just hasn't been happening.
Then, all of a sudden, this week, I have felt a rush of creativity and ideas are starting to flow.
I should have let you all know about my creativity struggles and I know you would have flooded me with support!
The current project that I will be working on tonight is the dreaded Valentine Box. Was this a thing when I was in school and I just don't remember? I don't really think it was. And, I didn't realize what a big deal it is until last year. Yes, my youngest is in second grade, but I guess I was oblivious! Last year, I finally noticed children coming to school with these huge and elaborately decorated boxes, and here was my little bit with a pitiful shoe box covered in stickers. He liked his box, though, so that is what mattered right? Please tell me I'm right!
But, pitiful boxes, no more!
This year we are creating a fun box that he is really excited about. It's not finished, so I will wait to post the pictures on the Facebook Page and Pinterest. I hope you can stand the wait!
In the mean time, I wanted to share a collection of fun and creative Valentine Box ideas with you!
All of these boxes were found on Pinterest just by searching Valentine Boxes. And, guess what, I don't think a single one is from a blog. Seriously, can you believe it?
I really love the iPhone box and the Pirate Ship. Those are awesome. The Superman box is simple, but the addition of the cape on the back makes it really special. The Fish Bowl box was made out of a Tide Pods container....really creative!
If these boxes don't inspire you to get creative with your little one's Valentine Box, maybe a peek at the board below will inspire you in some other way. Maybe homemade Valentine's for their friends at school? Or, a fun handmade Valentine for your special someone?
Do you have any special traditions for Valentine's Day? Or, have you created something really special this year? Share with us!
